Now here is where the real adveture starts. Serges say's hey guys I am going south a few klicks to grouse hunt. No sweat have fun. He returns in about 30 minutes .. He say's how are you guys at road navigation what? He say's the main road is washed out 4 kms down the road..
What? can't be...
So here we go after about 5 heart attacks and 3 days shoveling we finally get the road fixed enough to get the trucks across. The trailers prove to be another case.
First look at the road

After a few days of letting the water subside and some shovelling

We finally get the trailers and stuff across but not before we rip all the wiring out of Kevins trailer and breaking a spring center bolt on mine. Oh well part of the adventure we spent about 1 hour rewiring Kevins trailer and I had some spare bolts of assorted sizes we managed to get mobile and returned home late Friday night. So there you have it guys enjoy the pictures and stories. Would not trade this time of year and the Moose hunt for anything..
See you again here I hope in 2011 with more of the same.. Cheers

Great story and from what I have heard there were a lot of people stranded as a result of that storm so you were lucky to get out when you did.

The pic w/ the hunter really puts the obstacle in perspective. A co-worker once said they left early from camp for Kap' after hearing the forecast on the radio. They woke up in the motel & found 6" of snow on the ground. He figured they would've be stuck if that had stayed.
