Some personal issues have caused my current moose hunting group to put things on hiatus. I'm 28, I have all my own gear and a 4x4 chevy blazer. I have several years hunting experience and am totally willing to go up and cut trails, hang stands, etc. I am also a competent archery technician so I can tune your bow gear if you like. I don't own an ATV but I have experience riding. PM me if you have an opening. Thanks.

You sure would be an asset to any hunting crew! I don't think it will take you long to find a group. I am in pool 2 and my wife is in pool 1. I'll be looking at my options in the next few weeks. If I do decide to get a gang together or join a gang for the bow season I will let you know. I am looking at units west or northwest of Thunder bay.

I'm likely gonna get back into the Quebec fly-in archery moose hunts starting for the fall of 2012, just like the old days.

However, if we can put a good group of 5-6 solid guys/archers together, who will commit each year, I might reconsider. We do have some great spots where we currently hunt in Ontario and currently only need 4 Pool 1 guys for a guaranteed bull tag in thae area we hunt in. We do get one bull and one cow tag from the camp/outfitter we stay at, but it's always nice to have that second bull tag (group tag) as we split up in 2 or 3 man groups to cover more territory.

Hope you find what you're looking for, hunterdave.

Loney,
I think this year is a cow, bull, calf year in Quebec. Ya might want to bump up your plans a seson. You need 2 tags for every moose harvested.

Yep, this year is the year that it's wide open in Quebec, Terry. But I'm already commited to do some guiding in Ontario for the archery season again this year, therefore, no-can-do for this upcoming season.

Thanks for the responses guys, I figured I'd add that I'm from London and am in pool 1 this year. I would prefer a bow hunt but would be nearly as happy using my grandfathers 30-06. Moose hunting is the highlight of my year and as my work is flexible and I don't have kids and a wife to worry about. I can drive anywhere in the province.
