well last year when we called into find out the results of the draw i received a bull tag for archery but my brothers app. was not received according to them so not only did he not get drawn last year he has no chance this year
the big thing that pisses us off is they say they never received his application .very funny they did get mine though and they where in the same envelop .he has been tiring to get it straight since last fall after i found out they did the same to others.basically they say he is a lair because they have no proof he applied he does not have a chance all i can say is $$$holes

I had this happen about 7-8 years ago and when I couldn't get the results of the draw I found out they didn't get my application. I was in pool 2 anyway, they actually gave me credit for my application and I was in pool 1 the next year. I was pleasantly surprised. I apply over the phone these days and write down the confirmation number.

the tag itself is nothing but the fact that he is not even in the draw this year sucks.and how can they say they got mine but not his i put them in together .he has called several times .i guess they think everyone is out to pull something shandy with them.
i can only go moose hunting in area 41 for thanksgiving weekend this year because of other obligations this year but we want to bow hunt area 3 again in 2012 if we can draw a tag

I think the phone application is the way to go. With a paper application you're trusting the mail to get there, and the MNR to handle it correctly. With the phone system they give you the confirmation or group refference number right away. If they still manage to mess up your application, at least you have something tangible to argue your position with.
Good luck this year!

i think your right on right phone thing but like i say they got mine and not his.it seems like by doing this it forces people to go the phone way witch is less work and less employes for the mnr but the licenses don't seem to be costing less

I agree %100 with Tim. I have applied by phone since the day it was an option. Never have trusted that my paper ap. would get there.

Funny thing about the mail thing. You say you sent it, they say we didn't recieve it so they say too bad so sad sucka. What happens when they come after you for not sending in a manditory survey? You say you sent it, they say we never recieved it, will they have the same attitude then???? I doubt it. We are all guilty liars and they can do no wrong.

They fixed it for this year, if you deliver by hand at Peterboro , they will not have the book out for you to sign. That way there will be no way for you to prove that you dropped the card's off, pretty smart of them to srew you if they screw up again.
