Well today was the day I had to take my groups moose tags in for the draw, if any of you remember we got left out of the draw last year and I signed the book so when our group found out we did not draw a tag I had the pleasure in going up to the mnr office and complaining, which I won because I signed the book. LET THE STORY BEGIN Today I arrived and put 10 cents in meter long enough to run in sign book and drop tags off and leave. When I entered the service Ontario office there was a line up to the door, I excused myself so I could get to the box in the corner when I got there the book was nowhere to be seen. There was a lady standing there directing traffic so I asked here where the book was, she informed me there was no book this year and that they were photo coping all tags coming in. I said no no no I want to talk to someone as we almost got screwed last year. She rips me a ticket off and says wait in line. I run outside and put more money in the meter and come back in and wait and wait and wait. I get to the lady at the desk and asked about entering the moose draw, she explains there is no book this year and they are photo coping the tags as they gather them. I explain that, that is not going to happen and I want to speak to the lady that enters the tags into the draw, she tells me that the lady is upstairs and can not come down. I said I want to speak to her right now as I am not going to spend 800 bucks on tags for them to screw me out of the draw with out any proof that I dropped them off, I am not very quite even when I am in a good mood let alone pissed off. The lady from about 3 booths down comes down and right away she remembers me from last years screw ups and I explain to her what I want and she said she would get me the book as they started to use the book then for some reason stopped using it. There was only one page in the book that was being used and only about 20 signatures and mine was 3 of them as I dropped of 1 group and 2 individual tags. So 27 minutes later I get what I came for my signature and proof that I dropped the tags off. So let this is a warning to all you latecomers there are a book to sign for proof that you were there. It really is a shame that you have to argue over something that is so simple. Mind you with the Internet and all the good forums like this we know more than what we are supposed to know … |

I just circumvent the paper draw by applying by phone. Simple process, you don't have to go to a Service Ontario desk and you get a confirmation number that you can use to track your application in the event of any mishaps. PEte |
