Shot this young bull on the 2nd day of the hunt. The weather was crazy warm with temps of 26 degrees. And the wind was 40km per hour.

Not your ideal situation but I managed to talk this bull out in to the cut at 1pm in the afternoon.

He stopped broadside to me at 50 yards and I put one in the boiler. Dropped in his tracks.

Nice looking bull, congratulations!... :coolpics:

Out of curiosity, what caliber is your BAR?

I have the exact same setup including the leupold scope.

Yeah started skinning him out as soon as we made it back to our camp. Called in a butcher who came up to our camp and we cut & wrapped till 2:00am. Butcher charged us $150 bucks which was peanuts.

It worked out very well as the day started to get cooler and the night was perfect. All the meat was put in a freezer as soon as we were done. Meat was fresh, no dirt, no hair, animal dropped in the cut so it was easy to pull out with the bike.

Couldn't ask for a better hunt.

We were drunk for pretty much the rest of the week! :allright:
