Joined a gang that has 2400 leased acres in the Halliburton Forest, had a great hunt and we harvested a great bull. Great experience, saw lots of game and after Bradley's 50 yard shot at 8:30 am only 14 hours of back breaking, bikes and bulls in boats, broken ropes and chains we finally had our 44" inside spread and 950 lb bull on the pole. The forest biologist thinks that by weight ~1285 live weight, it might be the largest to have come out of the area.

Congrats on a successful hunt I hunt not far from the Haliburton Forest line on Crown land.

Which camp do you hunt out of The Tamrack Club off of Red Pine Lake??

Congrat's to you're Group. Very nice Bull. You guy's hunted hard for it despite the weather.
Brad stopped by on the Thursday night and had a few with us.
Orkie looks proud as can be too. It was great chatting with him. I had not seen him in going on 20 year's.

Congrat's again and I might see you up there again next year.

Matt They are up at Wildcat Hunt Club on Wildcat Lake.

As was mentioned we were at Wildcat Hunt Camp. This was my first time with them and we had a great week, great guys and lots of game around. There was only 5 of us in camp which made getting the bull, from the farthest corner of their 2400 acre property to the camp, a heck of a lot of work. In an earlier post some one said "15 minutes of fun for 5 hours of work". Well our 15 minutes of fun resulted in 14 hours of preparation and work before the bull was on the pole. As Orky (81 years young) mentioned to me in the wind and rain after we had the bull "I kind of like the nasty weather and hard work, if it were nice and easy, everyone would be out here trying to hunt moose. This way it is only those of us that want to be and enjoy it". A quote I'll always remember.
