We have had moose hunting groups formed on the forum before and that is what it is all about. See how things go, I may be able to find a group for you to hunt with before the spring. Tell us a little about yourself.

i dont really care where in ontario we go, i mean as long as its driveable. Im assuming we would be driving up together or car pooling up anyways? umm, well im a young guy, big and strong and willing to do some of the lugging and hard work that is required. When i hunt im there to hunt and hunt hard till we get something hanging. Im pretty easy to get along with and a go with the flow type of guy. if you have any specific questions please send them my way. would love to get into a group in time for tag applications. thanks |

we all live in thunder bay and go for a week in october and then every weekend, so you'd be on your own for getting up here and back. Not sure we can squeeze, i could ask and see though |

When I know how my western big game tags pan out I will be in a better position to know when and where I will be moose hunting. Since a hunting forum is all about meeting others and sharing in the hunt I will try to come up with something for you. It is just me and my wife in pool 1 together and a young energetic hunter could be a great asset. Keep the faith, you eill be moose hunting this fall.

crisop, wow thunder bay is a ways out for me, especially since you and your whole group are from there. Renegade, sounds awesome please keep me posted! :) Im finding that its very hard for a young buy like myself who wants to get into moose hunting, its hard for us to actually find an experienced group to go with. I have met alot of older then me hunters and guys who have been hunting moose for the last 20-30 years, and they all complain of how the new generations coming up arent interested in moose hunting and that its a dying sport. I truly believe there is interested in moose hunting amongst the younger guys coming up, its just that we cant get into any groups. I know i have been trying for abour 3 years now and i havent been able to make it up unfortunately. So id like to say this to all the moose hunters on this forum, please try and pass on this wonderful sport and passion to the younger generations by introducing them to it! I also do understand that groups formed is a way of bonding between the group, and i guess thats why im having a tough time getting up to find a bullwingkle!! all groups, please think about it! thanks all |

There are camp's looking for new member's every year. The thing is camp's are usually very picky on who they welcome into there group.I see you stated that you have been trying for 3 year's now, had you applied for an adult tag in those 3 year's ? How old are you ? Do you smoke or drink? These are some of the question's that hunter's will be asking of you.I belong to 2 moose camp's and have seen member's come and go over the year's and i am sure you will find one to join in with. I hope you luck out on your endeavor.I will spread the word in my hunting community.

Big pole, I 27, went on my first moose hunt last year with a couple guys I met on a forum. Dimt see a moose personally, but It was a good first experience. A few of my buddies are getting their licenses as well, and looking to start putting a group together. I'll be applying for my first tag this year, pool 2 obviously but hopefully we have a member in pool 1! Pretty open to driving anywhere on Ontario as well. |

Swampdigger, i dont smoke but occasionally i will have a cigar with the boys, and a few beers. But when i hunt i like to focus on hunting and get some meat hanging before we all let loose and party! lol I I have never applied for a tag before so this will be my first year. I am 31 years old and im a pretty easy going guy. Please pass the word around in your hunting community, hopefully someone will need a newbie! Range26, im ok with going anywhere in ontario as well, as long as its not tooooo far like 24 hours of driving! lol id be ok with starting up a group, im dying to get out there!! let me know if ur interested. thanks guys for the positive feedback, hopefully some group will come up soon!
