My buddy has acquired the rights to a camp near timmins. I know three WMU's converge there. What has the seasons been like recently? Are the moose up down or otherwise in the 29-30 WMU region?

I dont have all the details yet but will get specific lats and longs shortly.

No problem's with Moose, lot's around my camp, I just need to wait 13 years for a tag. There's also less cutting, so less cut overs and more hunters sharing the few fresh cuts. Good Luck in the draw.

Tags are tough indeed but we score one this year in 30 as a group. My father and I each drew individual Bulls in 30 in 2006 and then nothing but an Archery cow for another member a few years back that went unfilled.

Plenty of moose all around but the opening weekends have been so warm I know of some gangs spoiling meat last year. I think it was 27 on opening day. be ready to cool down that meat.

The big fire Timmins 9 would be roughly South West. It started in Gogama west of 144 and stopped almost at hwy 101. Yes will be some good Moose hunting area in the next few years.
