This may have been covered already on here, but if it was I couldn't find it, does anybody know how you go about finding out who a Moose tag alternate is, because to the best of my knowledge the tag tells you the tag# but there is no way of knowing what # you are, unlike before when it was printed in the top right corner?

Well I called today to see what the problem is, after being on hold for 15min, a lady comes on and tells me there is no problem at all that the # is right where it should be, I tell that I've looked all over my tag and don't see a # but I'm at work and don't have the tag with me . She informs me that it is there and if I have anymore problems that I can call another day, so I call a buddy to get him to check his tag again, guess what no #, so I call again, get a guy on the phone and he tells me that they are now sending letters to the people that recieved a tag and the alternets, how is this going to be cheaper.

Positive, my hunting partner was NOT born in 49....LOL
The alternate starts with the letter M which is followed by numbers
My buds cow tag has it and my seal doesn't
it is located at at the bottom on the letter O( white in color)

Funny thing is thee is no one born in 49 in my party

Carl
look above the dates from the 26-28
there should be a letter and a series of 6 numbers in brackets
This is only visible on the bull/cow tags

Yes it is there, but what does it correspond to? We cannot match this number that starts with M with any other number of the other members tags ... :notworking:

Yes, it seems as though they put the #'s on the holders tag but they neglected to put it on anyone else's in the group, so it's a crapshoot as to who the alternate is. :crycry:

I have tried to do the same but with no luck
Me thinks that is where MNR screwed up
They forgot to add the number to the alternates tag
Looks like we have to wait for the letter

:(

Akkk Just about had another heart attack over the Damn transfer crap.
Jackie went and got her transfer application. and forfeited her Bull tag and they gave her a calf tag. Seemed simple.
Kevin who we found out was the alternate went to parry Sound service Ontario with the transfer application which they said we could fax.
This is where it gets fun. The first lady at the counter was a real %(^&) according to Kevin if you know Kevin it must have been bad.. She said where is the bull tag? Kevin said jackie had to forfeit it..The lady said sorry without it I can do nothing..
AKKK Kevin phoned me in a panic. I said kevin think about this You are not allowed to be in Poccesion of a tag not in your name so How does jackie give it to you?
I phoned the MNR/Service Ontario In Kemptville thank You Shelly.....!!!!
She phoned the Service Ontario In Parry Sound. and explained things to the lady there. I sent Kevin back he got a really nice lady this time and finally everything is Transfered..
Word Of Caution before forfeiting your Tag I would photcopy it just in case something goes South...
