Just wondering if you guy are starting to see any signs of moose fighting for territory yet??

Just wondering because I was up to our Moose camp yesterday to check trail cameras, while taking a walk the long way around I came through some hardwoods where I came across 2 large areas that had been pawed up by moose recently. After checking the trail camera that was located not far away I noticed that there was 2 Bulls on camera an wondering if the paws were something to do with them fighting over territory this early.

Also had a bear rip one of the cameras off of the tree but didn't do no damage to it.

Would love to have seen what they were doing on vid. They could be eating something close to the ground or maybe they were jousting. Be cool to see. I have had one camera turned around by a bear and I have lots of bear pictures but so far so good with broken cams from bears.

One of the owners for the company I work for does a lot of work up north. He was up north of Hearst last week and said the moose are starting to beat up the dogs. Apparentley every year around now the moose start to get marking territories and will actually beat the ###### out of the locals dogs. I don't think he was pulling my leg (not that type of guy) has anyone else ever heard of such a thing?

I cant say what it would be but Considering they wouldn't be out of velvet yet they certainly wouldn't be fighting

The holes that they have pawed are close to a 12" deep at there deepest point. I'm figuring that it is just the bulls marking there territory right now should be interesting in the next few weeks to see what happens.

Hoping to get better pictures of the bigger guy, only have three so far and the closes picture he is about 50 yards from the camera running away but whne you zoom inyou can see the outside edge of his antlers.
