We (30cal4me & myself) are planning a snowmobile trip this winter & curious if anyone has stayed @ any of the following places in Geraldton when moose hunting or other trips thru northern Ontario:

Crown & Anchor Motel

Gold Nugget Motel

Park Bay Motel

Opinions? Not looking for anything fancy, just clean & warm.

We're staying @ the Companion in Hearst the night before. Thanks for the heads up on the Park Bay.

The lodge suggestion isn't really in the cards as we want to be in town if we need anything.

I'd stay at the Crown and Anchor. It's the only one that has restaurrant that opens early and the rooms are not fancy but clean and you have a fridge. We stay at the Crown every year for the fish derby and we like it. The Park bay is out of town and is a dive..

The silver nugget is a decent place to stay.
