Just got stopped again about an hour ago. two different CO's that I didnt know. It was just my son and I in the truck. He didnt ask my name but knew who I was. We were asked if we had any firearms and we didnt. Then I was asked how many hunters I had this week, and I told him I had 3 guides for the 5 hunters. So we will see when the next stop is? |

Just flip the video camera on them. No laws against that. I know of a distant friend who liked to flip the camera on cops when they were snooping. They couldn't do anything to stop him and he knew it. Pissed the crap of them, but it got them to lay off. Start a video record. If they are paid by the government, you are employing them and if they are on public ground, working for you, you are free to supervise them. I guarantee if you ramp up your annoyance level they'll find someone easier to annoy. |

They say that no one is above the law but we all know, that is not true. If you are getting harrassed as much as you say then you must bring it to the attention of the, "ONT. PROVINCIAL POLICE".....and get it sorted out. We cannot really help you here, how much advise can you get as to what we have already given you so far. Get ahold of yourself and deal with it. Good God not everyone in the Government is corrupt. There has to be someone in the Police Force (Field) that has a civlil head......... |

I talked to my neighbour. He said. The spoken word is important, but how it is said is also.As it stands, you have no proof of what was said.He suggested you should record any incounters. They are legal and you don't need their permission. He also offered to check into who's who in that area that carries weight. In the ministry, and the proper lawyer for the job.Brent J.. |

I don't think its in your head at all. You have put up with far more than most here would have already. We have a guy around here that is kind of a prick at times also. I have a friend who was out scouting for deer one time when he stoped to question him. He asked for his licence, he wasn't hunting, did not have any firearms on him. Adam showed him all the info he asked for. I have been waiting for him to do the same to me. Sorry but I wouldn't be so nice. I am not hunting so buzz off. I know i know, they will be hardasses on me when i am hunting from then on, but so be it. I have low tolerance for abuse of authority. I know your trying your best to be nice and keep your good rep in tact. But enough is enough man. Good luck. |

Shane, it sure seems like your being harrassed. I had a Federal Agent tell me once the best way to disarm somenone is too immediately ask his name, then write it down, his vehicle description, license plate, time of day, make him show you identification. This alone should put him off and if not you have this for ammunition in a complaint against him. Good luck, maybe they will chase me around when I get up there. I love a good chase.l |

They know who is hunting the areas and their licence plates - they keep them on on cheat sheets so they don't have to call it in all the time - these "new guys" can pick that up at the local office. Keep a business log book in your vehicle and get a business card everytime you are approached - tell them and even show them that you are logging events of your hunt for your business as this is your due dilligence as a business operator. This encounter with the MNR officer is logged as well as part of your working day. There is nothing secretive about it and it can be used as reference if needed in the future. Borrowing a friends vehicle will just appear as deception - be straight up with nothing to hide - hopefully they will get tired of finding nothing - perhaps they are if they sent in some new guys Lets hope... |

Here's another suggestion ASK them why they keep bothering you and be open about your concerns. Tell them you are feeling pegged and that you are going to start a record of the number of times you are being bothered. Tell them each and every time you will record their conversation as well as their ID, etc and all particulars about them. Honesty can really disarm people and force them into a position of integrity. Treat people with integrity and it yields integrity. If you fight them with games, they'll only game-up on you. It's worth a shot. |

I would not put up with that sh$t. I would be contacting the Minister of Natural Resources ( Donna Cansfield ) at Queen's park and lodging a harassment complaint. |

I think if you start complaining to others such as a "Higher Upper" in the field of the MNR. against this individual it just might backfire on you. They are not going to relocate this boy so my advice would be try some Dipomacy it just might work, keep your cool and in time these individuals just seem to layoff a bit....... |
