Has anyone tried those little hotshot hand and foot warmers. I know the hand warmers have been around for years but i just tried the toe warmers with adhesive. -6 with wind chill, metal stand and just insulated rubbers and toe warmers, holy crap you can stay out all day if you want, they are amazing and stay put after walking in, using the climber. well worth the 2 bucks thats for sure. Give em a try if you haven't already. |

I have used them, but they tend to make your feet sweat, and once they are done will leave your feet colder

I risk the little extra noise and put them on when I get to my stand, plus stand botties equals all day comfort. |

Take a kid hunting...you'll need someone to drag it when you get older! They are our future. | |

I am with BigUgly on this as well, but I usually wear a silk?polypropelene sock liner with the Redhead wool sock (lifetime guarentee one) over top & do not have much problem. In extreme cold I also have the Arctic Shield booties Shoot Straight Kirk |

I'm using them for the first time here too. I tried them on the rifle hunt just for the helluva it. I put them on top of my toes, but found that you had to lift your toes up in the boot to feel the heat. Tried again today and put them under my toes and I gained an extra two or three hours in the stand. I have the green rubber boots with the liners from Canadian Tire. I also wear polypropolene socks but not the ones mentioned above. What I do find, is that the toe warmers don't last anywhere near the 5 hours they say they do... Mike |

Your right Kirk, Arctic Shield boot blankets are well worth the money as I just tested them this last weekend up north and with Non insulated Norkians I had no problem with my feet. I have had foot problems getting cold since a back surgery in 2001 and the blankets were money well spent... |

my daughter swears by some socks she bought that your feet don't sweat and they keep them warm. she said she paid twenty bucks for them. I'll find out where she got them!

Once your feet get cold the concentration on your hunt starts to fall. I sometimes carry a extra pair of socks which help for a while. |
