170 000 deer hunters at 37 dollars.+ additional deer seals at 30 000 at 37 dollars 108 000 moose hunters at 40 now that money suposed to go to the mnr .. thats 6290000 for deer thats 4320000 for moose oops 1110000 for extra deer tags total 11 720 000 now thats what i call game management .. and we are the game .... 11 720 000 is just for deer and moose i would like to find figures on cards fishing bears small game ect ect ... |

And yet they have no money. I'll give you an example, on our caribou trip last week in quebec we had to stop in and registre our game at a check station. We were talking to the C.O. and asked us how the game checks were performed for deer, moose and bear here in Ontario. We told him that game checks didn't exist here, the CO couldn't beleive us, he was beside himself. How many animals get taken every year? Nobody knows, those fill out sheets you receive by the mail are bs as only a certain percentage of people fill them out. It just goes to show you that Ontario is so far behind in every aspect when outdoos are concerned compared to any other province out there. Just my 2 cents |

As much as a mandatory checkin of animals would be a pain, its really the best way of collecting hard data to make management decisions on. |
