Several weeks ago I ordered a heavy duty cot and 6:1 ratio gambrel from Cabela's/SIR. Shipping at the time was $12.95 which I thought was reasonable...so I patiently wait for my items to show up. Not having seen them arrive I was beginning to think this is going to be like last year when they told me they have everthing in stock when actually they did not. I came home today to a message..."Hi Shane this is ????? with Cabela's/SIR Canada. You have an additional charge of $16.97 please call us". I call to find out that they have not shipped anything out....and are considering the cot oversize and weighs too much for the standard shipping rate of $12.95. Now I tried to see their logic....being the cot is too big and heavy for standard shipping....this stuff is coming from Winnipeg to Thunder Bay...a bit excessive if you ask me considering I just received a two man ladderstand from Sask. weighing in at 70+ pounds and only paid $40 for it. That is the last time I will give them any business. Sorry for the rant...it just heats me up. Shane |

TerryM I own SKB Enterprises but there is some things that I am unable to get.....quality that is from suppliers and that is why I have upgraded to this particular cot...the ones I had got from my suppplier have all failed even the ones sold to customers. Shane |

Ive ordered from cabelas USA a number of times, with little headache, just shipping to a depot across the border, and going to get it. I have had simliar experiences dealing with sir/cabelas canada this past year as well. terrible! Terrible service, and terrible customer service skills. those people wont be getting my money! |

Never had a problem with dealing with sirmailorder.ca (cabelas). |
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

I've never had a problem with them even though it took over a month to get my snow camo. Owell I guess everyone was buying it up at the same time. MY friend bought an 870 from them about 6 months ago and it was so rusty on the outside. The inside of the gun was mint but the outside was covererd with rust. Took almost a bottle of gun oil to get it all off. Although he can't get it all off the vent ribs on the barrel and now every time he uses it it becomes rusty again |

I think right now the key is too call and see if they have your item in stock. In the past I have tried to order stuff online and got a notice in the mail about being back ordered. I have never had a problem with extra shipping charges. A couple years ago I ordered a new 870 and it was just left on the door step, no one even signed for it. That worried me quite a bit. |

One problem that I seen for my self at this store was that it is WAY to small for a Cabela's and from what I understood from a person working was that they have to get product from the USA at times because there is not the room at this location. This could have something to do with the extra change on the cot. Cabala's and SIR were two different stores and had different products and from what I have seen most Cabala's stores are 3 times the size of this Winnipeg store... |

My problems were with shipping choice. They sent my camo seat covers via Canada Post. They sent it back from here the whole way 3 times because I shipped it to the arena where I work and there was no P.O. #. I was in the Arena at the time it came all 3 times and the A** H$"" wouldn't even come in to give it to me. Purolater delivered it right the first crack they had. |
