Yesterday, Shedherder, Deermangnet, and Dobber along with his son, came to MY uncles farm for a dogging day, just with bows. Road, Myself, and trophytaker were also with them, along with about 12 other guys. We dogged 3 bushes seeing deer in everybush. We shot 2 deer and had a bunch of fun and had some great stories shared.

Great time indeed. Any time I get a chance to hunt new property I jump on it. I would like to thank Road for the invite and Dobber for the ride and great conversation. It's nice to hunt with a good bunch of guys that can shoot, can't ask for much more. Braidman, for being a young hunter I was very impressed with the skills you already possess, you can operate in the woods with the best of them. Your Dad and Uncle have taught you well. With most guys I'm happy if they know which way North is not to mention South. lol))) Looking forward to meeting you all again. :cheers:

yup had a great time, I saw 6 deer in total, had a doe run right at me, didn't take the shot as it was not a high percentage shot.
How many shots you end up taking Braid (;

Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority,and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

That is really cool. Did anyone get pictures of the group? So all this driving bush and everyone was hunting with a bow? That sure makes it harder.

Any bucks taken ?,sure would be nice to see some pics. The one thing I've learned about doing drives is that somehow you need to stop the deer before taking a shot .and you better be good at guessing distance .

It was a nice to get out with some great members that love hunting as much as i do. I think dobber need to bring some hip boots next time lol))) . In one push I saw over 25 deer, had one doe standing at 15 yrds but had 2 small branches in the way- no shot. One buck was shot but it didn't look like a great hit so we backed out and looked later in the day. The guys ran out of light and went back in the next morning, only to find it 50 yrds from the last spot they tracked it the night before. But the yote beat them to it.

I don't think any one had their cam with them.

Remember when you were 16 and for some reason your words might of come out wrong, or easily misread to not represent what the original intent was meant to be.

I do believe that when this post was originally written not all the facts might of been represented, heck i do believe some of the facts might of even been stretched a little. I was there, i enjoyed the company of good friends, met some new ones, saw loads of deer and watched different levels of hunters in the same group. I was part of the same hunts last year where we had over 30 people for a days hunt, did everyone follow the same methods or hunting practices as me? nope, but all was done to recover any deer that was hit, which included going back the next day due to darkness.
For this hunt, every deer that was hit was either recovered or seen the next day, the only deer still running that was hit already had an existing injury and ran like the wind the next day when several of the guys went back to do the recovery.

should have made a statement to correct or clarify. pulling out the eraser makes it look someone has something to hide and removes all credibility. now which story am i to believe, the original or the new one. besides, i dont know if its just my computer but this thread keeps dissappearing and reappearing.

however i am glad that everyone had a great time.

Not to take anything away from Braid as he is a good kid and i would hunt with him anytime, but he is a 16 year old. Likely not as well versed in the protocol of editing his own post as others.

I'd let my son post his version but you wouldn;t get much out of him, quiet kid, so his day in print would be much less exciting.

The post has always been on the page, just keeps moving down the line
