Not sure if i will be heading south this year, seems my paperwork might be a bit late since it was just returned and had to sign some more papers. I was just wondering on ideas for a family trip.
Don't think the wife wants to head up for a caribou hunt so thats out, was thinking of a snow mobile trek (would need to rent) or some down hill fun (no skiing)
Am sure the wife still wants to go to Cuba and if i get my paper work in time will do a last minute trip, but figured would keep the options open.

Any ideas?

Ice fishing but with that said I am in the same situation with the wife in that we will be going to Cuba before I get to go on another outfitted hunt so I am planning on going to Cuba real soon.

Hey Dobber. You should check out Haliburton Forest. It is privately owned/run 60,000 acre forest, and has snowmobiling,(with rentals), dog-sledding, and also a timber wolf sanctuary to see them up close and personal.
Hubby used to sled there every year and it is unreal, the trails are groomed 24/7, and there is excellent signage with maps and warming shacks everywhere along the trails. There is a spot called "The Gorge" which is a frozen blue-ice waterfall, definitely worth the trail ride as you can ride up right beside it.
Also an excellent idea in the summer as they have a series of boardwalks/platforms in the canopy of the trees and also a submarine to take you down to the depths in the lake.
Here is a link. I hope posting it is allowed. If not PM me or just google Haliburton Forest. Hope this helps
