A friend of mine has one here and he loves it. Goes about 24hr per fill during these temps and 2-3 days when warmer. And no splitting!

THEY ARE A GREAT SOURCE OF HEAT. IF YOU HAVENT GOT YOUR SUPPLY OF PELLETS YET, YOU BETTER GET IT. I CAN NOT FIND ANY FOR MY STORE TO SELL
A VERY SHORT SUPPLY NOW.

Almost know it all
my dad used to have 2 of them. one for the house and one for the garage, they worked great and threw a ton of heat. The one in his house had a weld break on the auger and caused the hopper to catch fire, good thing they were home or they would have lost the house
winter time with snow and ice means ICE FISHING

Stocking up on pellets is prolly a good idea. I heard shortages are starting to happen.

The reason the shortage is because of the flooring supply and demand. As in the flooring market is going to come to a crawl with the recession. Meaning pellets will be harder to come by and there is talk that it already is.

i had one and did not like it,you can`t leave the house more then 1 day,if power goes out it does not work, and bag are pretty heavy for a women if you are not around.
i like better gravity oil stove, you dont need power and you could leave the house for a week and it run all the time.nothing to carry in the house,no maintenance .just my experience with the 2 i had.

I have had one for 6 years now and love it. This year has been a difficult one though as stated with supply. I am on a waiting list at my dealer and he only lets you get 1 ton at a time so everybody gets some. He had been told the supply shortage was due to a combination of events. Apparently one supplier had a fire , the popularity of them, and some states/provinces are offering off -oil incentives to buy them.

I have one and am not crazy about it, I like my wood stove better. It works OK and my wife likes it so that's why it stays.
Here in NY there's a shortage of pellets. There's a pellet company (New England Pellet) just 35 miles from me and few dealers have any pellets. Buy in the summer when the demand is small and prices may be down. Currently there $290/ton in Northern NY.
