i was out today with my pellet gun, going after rabbits. got two, and i didnt want to get blood all over my bag so i brought some large freezer bags and put them in it. after getting home, i reached in the bag to start processing the meat and what do you know... i got fleas on the rabbit, now what ??? they are still in the bag, i'm thinking of freezing the game as is in the bag but would that wreck the meat? i really dont want to introduce fleas to the house or anywhere near it, or worse, get them on my clothes and bring them in. need help asap. |

Take it out of the bag, leave it out side hanging, fleas will leave once the body temp is cold |

Yep. They require body heat and blood to survive. They will vacate. Just make sure it is outside a good distance from your house. Do you have pets? I'd keep them away from them. |
