Found out why other guys in there hunting are paying him as of now really thinking about givening up hunting . Book time off waste money on gas and tags only to get bought out by some other group that just walks in and starts flashing the Bills around.

nice...
not much of a friend if he just sells you out like that.
yes by the end of the day, its his property and he can rent out the space to who ever he wants but the agreement has got to count for something.
where abouts is this? did you do a whole lot of prep and baiting before start of hunting season?

That just sucks found myself in a case not much different last year, work for a company that owns 200 Arces and on the side I do Nusience and predator control ( I have the license) for them. For the last five years they allowed me to hunt the property with archery gear, midway through December the manager comes to me an tells me that the board of director no longer wants me hunting the property an I have to remove all my hunting equipment ASAP. I told him straight up sorry but there is 2 1/2 weeks left in the season an I have but everything I have into the spots on this property for deer and it is to late in the season to move, told him I'd be finishing out the season then I move on which I did shot a meat doe on the second last day and removed everything that day. After that they still thought I should do the Nusience and predator control for nothing which I thought was pretty funny gave them a price on continuing the program an they told me I was crazy. So now they have made their bed and now have to sleep in it, jokes on them as the predator are running wild and will soon take over once again like they were over ten years ago when I first started here.

funny how 'hunting' and 'pest control' are pretty much the same thing but people see them as different.

i went to service ontario to get a small game tag to get rid of starling and pigeons with an air gun and they said, i didnt need a tag to get rid of pest, as long as it wasnt in the 'no fire arms' zone in the city limits, so turn that around and use the same air gun to get a rabbit and now i need a tag... but if that same rabbit is eating your cabbage and carrot that you plant for food and now its ok, NO TAG

i got a tag anyway, for less than $30 its a good cover my ars paper in my pocket.

Just really sucks booked the time off and get screwed I,ve helped this guy out for 15 yrs around the farm etc been going to work just not into it .I haven,t been out in 3yrs for deer season as I was only part time now I,am full time and they said go ahead take the week or just a few days to hunt. I think next yrs hunt will be in my own area but I will 1st have to go out and get a muzzle loader as we hunt in a combined area muzzle and shotgun.

get your self a x-bow my friend
you get almost 3 months.
and its a bit easier to use than a compound bow.
a lot easier than a re-curve or a long bow

PLUS
if you got a good/healthy population in your area they are not spooked by sound of random gun shots in the area and are semi relaxed
i haven't been so lucky this year, but normally start of Oct is a good time for you to go out on weekends and what not, longer days is another bonus too.
