The point is Gander Mountain feels that they may be offensive to some customers. They will not get any of my business with that attitude.

Here is a good one Maybe Buck stopper can comment.. I heard the Canadian Tire here in Kemptville is now putting in a Pro hunting shop. They were looking to Buy heads and contacted a friend of mine a taxidermist who told them they could not buy heads.. He put them on to Rick at Canada Goose taxidermy.. Apparently you can't buy heads but they can lease them.. I then heard thet the owner of canadian tire was against hunting in general he would sooned put some plastic displays up? LOL WTF if you are against hunting why put in the Pro shop.. I guess its the old money trumps all other ..

Brutal. Its unfortunately the future. We are becoming so outnumbered by soft tree hugging, uneducated people its just a matter of time. Im constantly finding myself listening to people inform me how horrible I am to kill an animal that was put on Earth to live not die. Then they eat their chicken sandwich and feel fine. Hypocrites. I wanna put a decal on my truck (I cant do to work) that says "save a carrot, kill a rabbit" . Nobody seems to care about all the vegetables and fruit losing their lives to vegans. I figure I will fight them with the same level of stupidity. lol.
I don't always chase tail, but when I do; its whitetail. Stay camo my friends.

I was in a Gander Mountain and Cabelas yesterday in Michigan and both of them are like big clothing stores with hunting stuff around the edges. The Cabelas store is a shadow of what it was 10 years ago... I won't be back.

I was in the Gander Mountain today in Watertown NY. Still half a dozen or so mounts on the wall above the guns. I'll check the store in Mooresville NC later this week.

I think it depends on the store location & time of year. I've been to the Dick's in Portsmouth NH a couple of times (in October) & the hunting section was well stocked. Lots of clothing, accessories etc. I bought a rain jacket, lightweight gloves & my backpack there. The pack was a hard search because a lot of them include a hydration bladder which I don't need. The 1 I got didn't have it & was equipped w/ multiple pockets.

Yesterday I was in a store here in Charlotte NC & they had a bit of hunting gear, but mostly fishing stuff.

Well I was in 2 more Gander Mtn stores. The store in Mooresville NC didn't have any mounts on the walls. No appearance of any hooks/hangers (unless the walls had been repainted).

Stopped in & checked the Dickson City PA (near Scranton) store & there were several mounts in the store.

Not sure what the OP read on Facebook, but it doesn't appear that this "ban" has been followed thru w/ in the past 5 months.

I was just in a Dicks in Patuxent river and it was loaded pretty good. That being said Our Canadian Tire Store in kemptville just opeded a Hunting section got rid of Marks.
I was impressed very much so on the quantity and quality of stock. That being said I just about crapped myself at the prices. Le Baron and Sail have rage for around 35$
CTC was 49 for standard and $59 for Hypodermics.. Give me a break.. I would have to be really stuck to anti up for some of their stuff..

The last gander Mountain I checked was in Cicero, just outside of Syracuse. No sign of any mounts.

I'm not sticking up fot the company, but I'm a skeptic when I see some stuff on the 'net. Folks send me emails about supposedly true stuff & when you check it on Scopes, it's false or only borderline true.
