That is insane. It is amazing what a deer can survive sometimes. There is an area above the lungs and below the spine that is somewhat of a void and sometimes deer can survive a complete pass through with arrow or even a bullet that doesn't delliver enough capilary shock or expansion. |

Ya I seen something like this this year. My hunting buddy shot a small 6 pointer behind the shoulder and when we went to retrieve him, he had a hole blown off his back end. The whole upper part of his rump was exposed and he must have been licking it or something because there was absolutely no blood on the wound. It is crazy how tough a deer is. |

Other than the hole the deer looks pretty healthy.

Well the old warrior I shot this fall had more to the story,When I was gutting him out I noticed something very odd , since I was capping him out I had to reach up inside his chest cavitey ..when I made the cut to pull the heart & lungs out , the lungs won't come out I had to cut the lungs off the rib cage ,the lungs were healed to the rib cage.. this left me thinking what the F until I capped him out and found 4 inches of arrow healed between his rib cage and right should blade . The arrow had went through both lungs and this buck managed to live .. Just crazy |

https://sites.google.com/view/north-river-outfitters/home You're not paying for a stay at the Hilton, you're paying to participate in nature. Anything can happen. I work part time so I can hunt full time YOU'LL NEVER SHOOT THE BIG ONE IF YOU SHOOT THE SMALL ONE FIRST | |
