Just got my new webpage up and running and wouldn't mind any constructive criticism as to ease and appeal or troubles from both PC, phones & tablets. I am going to organize the photo gallery better but not sure what would make it better or easier or do most people just look at the first 4 or 5 photos. I was thinking an album for caribou, fishing, camp & scenery but then got thinking that since everyone asked "how was last season" should I go by year? Just curious on your thoughts. Check it out: www.highnorthoutfitting.com Next, a facebook page. Thanks. |

Hey sheephunter, I like the look of it, very professional looking. Navigation and layout for most of the pages look really good. I agree that the photo gallery needs tweaking. Right now some of the pictures are above the menu bar, others are below the menu bar and others have the menu bar right through the middle of the pictures. I usually scan through the thumbnails first to see if there is something that catches my eye as opposed to going through every picture unless I am really researching something seriously. Looking good. I wish you much success.

I didn't see a photo gallery Suggest that you separate your photos by year so that your guests can get a feel of what to expect from year to year. As a hunter here are some things that I'm interested in seeing on a website annual hunter success rates an honest statement about what to expect Who cares for the animal once it's down? Are there additional costs to fly out meat, head? a description of the weather that a guest will likely experience logistical information: how to get there, travel times, costs Price list... don't be shy a list of references, do you get repeat clientel? details on food and lodging, perhaps a sample of the meal plan any certification, awards, special recognition (a tv show recomendation means jack-sh!t to me) a mission statement which includes statement of your company's values How many employees do you have at camp, or are you the chief guide, cook, mechanic, etc. Who flies you in? Type of A/C? What's the pilot's experience? Weight limits? how about a map or google earth image of your area SAm Edited by Sam Menard, Jan 12 2014, 10:32 AM.

OK, I've had some very good criticism / advise about the webpage and I thank all of you for your time you took to do so. For the most part with the exception of the photo gallery (still working on that) I think I have the main corrections made. Hopefully, within the next week or so, I will have a "Testimonial / reference" section. I'm thinking a photo and the hunters written testimonial for now. Next season I will try to get a very short, maybe 30 second video testimonial from some on the hunters in the field. Now, my Facebook page is online. Pretty much the same stuff... I have no clue about promoting on FB, this is all pretty new to me so I would like your thought on this as well. Thanks, Kevin No clue how to get you to my face book page. I guess search High North Outfitting ??? Edited by sheephunter, Jan 16 2014, 11:50 AM.

Looks great to me. Clean and easy to navigate. Prices and rates are up always good and lots of pics. Only thing missing is a testimonial tab. Most important thing you should have. I'm sure by the pics your clients would be happy to refer and write. Add that is all I can see. Congrats and good for you for seeking input. Cheers Monks |
