I have been having the same problem. I went and deleted a pile of pictures on Kodak and it's been good for now.

avg is a good program, but avast is better.
I used to have avg, and switched to avast. It is also free. My brother is a nut with computer
stuff and he suggested it to me. No problems with viruses or anything
else since I changed.

If you do not have it already, Install "Spybot - Search & Destroy", it will clean a host of stuff that slow down a computer. It is also free.

Spybot - Search & Destroy Down load page

Good Luck!

How full is your computer? Go and see how much memory you are using. Comps run really slow and freeze up a lot when you are close to max. Also, you could get some additional RAM if you don't have much. 2 Gigs is lots. You might also get ride of any programs you don't use and also do a general clean up/back-up of stuff you use infrequently. When you are all done, reboot and see how it works.

Hey guys...really like to thank you for taking the time to help us out....
Removed the Norton anti virus....to think I paid $50 for that three months ago and you can get it for free off the internet....go figure...we downloaded the one that you suggested...avast...she removed a whole bunch of programs....and we took the Kodak-all-in-one printer off..thought it might be slowing it down...you know I can go on OTB with no problems but as soon as I go on...lets say The London Free Press..it freezes...from all the stuff you guys have suggested..she still has a bit of work to do...will try it all.

Billert...it was full.

Look for a program called Tuneup Utilities 2009 from a Bittorent site.Works very well to clean up,defrag ,remove unwanted folders ,etc...Will improve your computer's over all performance :coffee: I hope this helps.Works on all my computers, but always have an anti virus running on your computer at all times, that is very important.I run Nod32.I don't like Norton's or McAfee.Good luck.I'm sure you have improper settings and a few corrupt files.. :allright:
