Long story short folks, i had a virus on my computer that i clean up using Kapersky on Wed nite . After the cleanup, i rebooted the computer like it said i should do. Now where there should be icons and some pictures all just have a red X inside a white box !!??
What did i do wrong, and how do i correct it ?
Bill

Check to see if your anti-virus or firewall software has a privacy setting to "disable web bugs".
Solution: Uncheck or turn it off. (The term "web bug" is a misnomer. They are really just harmless tiny images on a web page or email, sometimes used for tracking purposes.)
Your Internet Explorer security settings are set too high, preventing you from accessing the web site which hosts the image.
Solution: Reset to the default security settings. In Internet Explorer, click on Tools -> Internet Options -> Security -> Default Level.

Download Malwarebytes Anti Malware

Any virus or w\e I've had, this program has found it and got rid of it. I had a really bad one recently, Had to boot into safe mode and run a full scan then restart.

Songdog, that is exactley what we did, started the puter in safe mode and then had Kapersky do a "deep scan". It found and deleted the virus , but when we re booted the computer is where this issue began.

On the far right of your toolbar at top,you might have 2 angle bars, click on them and see if you have a "togle Image" in the drop down.If you do click on it
