QDMA Deer Biology & Management Seminar Day; this is worth checking out!

Hey Folks, check this out...

this is the first ever event of it's kind in Canada. QDMA is bringing some of the nations top whitetail biologists up here to spend the day talking about hot topics that will better educate us as hunters and deer managers.

There will also be scoring of antlers by FROW measurers and vendors.

Best of all, the entire day is completely free! Opportunities like this don't come often so don't miss it!

Furthermore, this could make a great opportunity for a bunch of board members to meet up in one central location.

If you're a member of any other boards, feel free to post the pictures and spread the word. This is a great event that will benefit all of us as we better educate ourselves.

Its only about 15 min. west of London. From Milton it would take about 1.5 hours.
401 East to London then cut off on to the 402 towards Sarnia for about 10k.

I'll be there. only a short :driving: for me.

Would love to go but it's a 7 hr. drive for me. Any intentions of doing another one for eastern Ontario?

It was discussed but simply not feasible when you consider the cost of such an event. They aren't charging admission so this is not a money-making endeavour. The cost of two shows, plus travel for all the people they are bringing from the US is completely unrealistic.

No registration needed. There will be plenty of room so invite some friends.

Just tell her you're going to a seminar giving by some University scholars...she doesn't have to know it's about deer and deer hunting!

Boy, does that ever sound like it would be interesting.

Too bad it's such a long hike from Ottawa.

Its too bad for me its on a Saturday. Spring is almost here and in my line of work that means lots of work to do. I unfortunately will be at work all day. I'm sure I'll get some info second hand around here. Maybe if some local guys from here go they can get me some extra literature.

Hey folks, just as an FYI, Kip Adams from QDMA will be on Let's Talk Outdoors with Dave Kraisosky on March 24th at 7am. For those who aren't aware, Dave's show is on the FAN590 radio.

Kip and Dave will be talking about the QDMA and the event coming up in Delaware.

Hey Paul. If this event turns out to be as good as expected, maybe you should try for a repeat performance in Peterborough. Then we could attract members from Ottawa through Toronto.

Thor, I agree. An event in Peterborough would sure be nice being so close to home.

The folks west of Toronto likely wouldn't be too excited but it doesn't matter where we hold it, someone's always got a long drive.
