The Little Britain show is Sunday April 1st...in the magazine, we listed it as Sun Apr 2nd, which was the date of last year's show (fire the editors!).

The doors open at 9am...racks have to be in by noon I believe or else they won't be scored.

Bowhunter-57.... All Though I am not a FROW scorer From what I understand if your Deer or Moose has been scored recently you won't be able to have it re scored at an other Big Buck scoring event, Only if you are unsatisfied with the previous score, You can then bring in your Deer or Moose racks and ask to have them review your score sheet, But they would not re qualify for any other Big Buck contest other then the one you where just in, As this would not be fair to the other contestants at the newer Big Buck event that is taking place at the time of your re scoring.

To clarify things a little better if you entered your Deer or Moose racks to be scored By FROW at one Contest lets say Bass Pro for instance & you came in 2nd place and walked away with a PRIZE from that Contest, You can't have it re scored by FROW to re enter it in another Big Buck contest.

Case in point..... say for instance you've just had your Deer or Moose scored as a " NON typical " As there are several large Drop tines and you check your score sheet ok? Once it's been posted with your rack, And you notice there are a whole whack of demarit points taken off of your Deer Racks Score lets say 60 or more demerit points OK?, This may indicate that it was incorrectly scored as a " TYPICAL " rather Then a " NON TYPICAL ", And in that Case you may ask for it to be reviewed during that Event.

If you feel in any way that your Deer or Moose has been some how incorrectly scored during the event, You should notify one of the staff members at the event and ask to talk to one of the FROW scorers and have them check it out, They can then determan weather it has in fact been miss scored some how, And can take the appropriate actions to have it reviewed for you.

But I would think if your Deer or Moose racks have been scored recently by FROW and you have never entered them in any Big Buck Contest what so ever with in that calender year, I would think they " may " qualify for the Contest, But your original score sheet from FROW would have to accompany your Deer or Moose racks at the time that they are being entered into the Contest, But I'm not 100% sure on that one, I would have to contact our president from South Central Ontario Big Game to find out for you on that one??.

Paul or Keith from FROW may be able to tell you better then I could, As they are at more Big Buck Contests then I am, but in any event I will contact our President and ask just to be on the safe side OK?.

Just to clarify a couple things:

1. The organizers of an event, in this case SCOBGA, can decided how they want to run it with regards to bringing in previously measured racks. That is up to the show. You are allowed to bring a rack to Little Britain that has been measured within that year, or that has never been to the show before.

2. As for scoring methods and such, that is always the responsibility of FROW.

If you have had your buck scored, whether it be at an event or not, you CANNOT have it rescored. Rescoring is not accepted by FROW, B&C or P&Y except in the case of a panel scoring for a top 3 in a category or a gross scoring error on the part of the measurer.

Bringing your rack to another show to compete for prizes is great and encouraged if the show allows it, but the existing score still stands. If you bring your rack into a show having already had it measured, you need to notify the organizers of this and tell them your existing score.

Our measurers are all volunteers who dedicate their time to help out at these events. Making them remeasure an already measured rack is a lack or respect for their time.

If you think there is a problem with your score, you cannot request a remeasure, but you can bring the rack and accompanying scoresheet to a measurer to be reviewed. They then must approach Richard Poulin, Keith, Kevin or myself if an error has been made. We will not review a rack that does not have an official scoresheet with it.

Interesting Paul.

Now if I get my 9 pointer scored, are you saying it gets an official score sheet with it?

I wish!

Mine will likely just barely break 100, but thats o.k. It'll satisfy my curiosity. I've tried to score it myself before following the instructions from the B&C website. Didn't work out so well, for starters I used a tapemeasure.

CC, Here's a picture of the antlers that score sheet was attached to Now keep in mind he's just a little fella, One of our guys seen his older Brother going over the speed limit as he was being chased by another hunting groups Hounds This past season, And from what he said I could have set my own deers antlers in the center of his Big Brothers and still had all kinds of room now thats one BIG Deer!.

Now These are just some of the types of Deer you can expect to see at the show in Little Britain on April 1st.

CC, you must be a pokey driver!

With good traffic and clear roads, it's 1 hr 20 mins from Peterborough to Bass Pro. Little Britain is further north than Peterborough but also further west so if you look on google map you can surely find a quicker way coming up by Oshawa that will make it around the hour mark from BPS or maybe even less.

If he takes the 407 east to the very end, then go north to port perry, then take 12 north from port to Little Britain.
