As many of you know my other passion is cycling and this year it went a step further and I was elected onto the Oshawa Cycling Club executive. I also volunterred to help create a new tour for the club. We all agreed we wanted to involve a local charity to help in these hard times. So in partnership with a couple of local bike shops, Durham tourism and United Way we have created the Ride 4 United Way. I would encourage any of you guys who are able to coome out for the event there is a 36km loop for those who are interested in an easier ride and a way to get involved for non hard core riders like me. I myself have signed up for the 160km loop begining and endind in Brooklin noth of Whitby. It's a very challanging ride over and around the Oak Ridges Moraine with close to 5000' of climbing. One hill east of Newsastle is 1km long at 14% grade. Anyway here's my donation page link, any amount is greatly appriciated and distriputed locally. https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorP...supId=250192747 |

Take a kid hunting...you'll need someone to drag it when you get older! They are our future. | |
