What a great day once again, meeting some new faces and chatting with fellow members. Wish I had more time to talk, but in all a busy day. Breifly met Mjewel on his way out, and greybeard if you said you were going to be the tallest guy there, I would have picked you out right away, lol. Advanced taxidermy did a great demonstration, which turned out a great mount. |

Cmon guy's, I aint that tall. Ken is just kneeling down in the picture so thats what makes me look taller. hehheh hehehhhh. Oh yes, it was a fine day for sure. I was very happy to meet all the great OTB members and get a chance to chat with you all. I say Bowhunter57's idea of getting together at the KOW contest is fantastic. It would be a great day to meet and maybe do some shooting and then take in the competition. Last year they had a big BBQ going and there was cold beer to be had also. mmmmmmm mmmmm good. I am in for sure and am planning to be there that day. I can tell you it was just amazing to see James take that absolutley tremendous new record buck and bring it to life. Was so interesting seeing how they do it. Also, it was a treat to meet and talk with Alex MacCulloch and hear his story about the hunt. What a story!!! By the way Shane I'm 6'4" 235 and yes, GSP would kick the liven shit out of me in about 15 seconds of the first round. hheehh hehh hhhh |

The Big Buck trailer was unbelievable!!!!!! The world class bucks in there are truly a huge notch above anything I have ever seen. The size of those racks take your breath away. The only dissappointment was they did not have the Jordan buck in the collection. The driver told me that Bass Pro owns all the originals that were in the trailer but the ones in there for the canada tour are all replicas. He said after he goes to Calgary then back to the states, they will take out all the replicas and then put back in all the real original heads. They cant bring the real antlers across the border he said. Also, He told me the one huge non typical at the far end was purchased by Bass Pro shops for one million dollars !! He said even he cant tell which ones are the originals vrs. the replicas. I picked up a Moultrie I-40 at the show along with a dozen new arrows, some striker broadheads and new release loops and a copy of the new FROW book. Yes, page 9 is very nice!!!!! |

I knew it ,darn it I seen the new frow book and meant to pick one up,and then turned around and walked out without buying it ,maybe i can purchase it through the beasley bros? I'll look into that. Steve and i went to look at the big buck truck and it was all closed up ,so guess I'll have to wait till next season. nubo |

I agree. It was an Awsome day and to be able to meet some of the members for the first time and to see some i have already met was Great. My son was so excited to be one of the boy's, Thanks guy's. It was good to get out and have lunch with Scapko and Chrispol. Damn Greybeard You made me feel short. In all the pics I have seen of you you looked to be of average height, I guess pics are deceiveing. Great deer bye the way. It was good to get talkin to kit and the rest of the guy's and to see the McCulloch Buck getting done, and to talk to Alex about how he got this record buck was cool. The pics don't do this deer any justice, you have to see it you're self to see all the character that this buck has. Ryan

Ontario does pretty good a spitting out monster bucks. The U.S. has so much deer country relative to us and many states with game laws that tend to allow bucks to reach maturity more frequently. |

What a great day for sure. Wow there was alot of OTB faces there. Once again i recognized most faces that i hadn't seen before fro swamp bucks cartoons. Road was looking for alf, something to do with a hide, neither of us had met him and i could easily pick him out as he walked by from his cartoon. I didn't make the OTB pic, luckily i was too busy measuring, as scapko wanted me to lay infront of everyone on the floor of Bass Pro with hundreds of people around, if i wasn't measuring a rack i would of had to do it. I was lucky enough to get my hands on some major racks, one that grossed 165", found dead in a creek, what a shame. Ken beat us all on guessing what that rack would score. After a long day and swapping lies with nubo and scapko, payed for my new ground max vision blind and headed for the trailor to see all the other monsters and it was closed Hope it comes back next year same time. Thanks for posting pics guys so i could see what was in it. Ken, thanks for getting me in that pic helping put the rack on the mount, i have to prove to the wife that i'm not just shopping, up until then i wasn't in any pics so thanks |

WOW! I had no idea there were so many members there. I met a few of you. Was a great day for sure, got to wrap my hands around some great racks once again. Many of you had left already when a guy brought in 2 real nice moose racks that both qualified for P&Y. ALF, I have to confess bud, I had no idea what your handle was..lol I guess i just never put 2 and 2 together before....duh. Was good to talk to ya again. Advanced Taxidermy.....What can I say but WOW! really enjoyed watching you and talking with ya throughout the day. Class A guys all the way. And outstanding work. Nothing too hide, gave me a few good tips to better my work. I truely aspire to be that good someday. Thanks again. And oh ya, I too had to look up at greybeard, wayyyy up..lol |
