I would have liked to be there to see if someone I know was a vendor there this year so that I could have a few words with him,. Unfortunately, I didn't make the show, as I've been busy getting things ready for the moose hunt.

Anyone from here go?.. If so, how was the turn out?

The carp hunting show is a total waste of time.. Wasted 15$ and a good afternoon to go look at a bunch of Flea market crap. If you wanted a 4 ft sabre in a gold shealth wow you could have your pick. It was more of an old boys get together. I was trying to find a clip for an old Remington model 8 32.. I must have waited at every booth as the owner of the booth we alway sitting next door having a chat. Best thing about the show was some guy had Beagle pups was worth the price to see the dogs the rest.. Duuh get rid of it..Oh and Giant Tiger had a great display did not know they are the official DU clothing store some really nice stuff that said nothing else there worth paying the money or spending the time. I hope the guy posting on here did not take the 1 hour 45 minute drive.. It only took me 30 minutes and I was pissed.. JMO.. :run!!:

Lonewolf, I was at Al's on Sunday afternoon and they told me the open house had been really busy. Naturally I picked up a few things that I didn't know I needed until I saw them.

I discovered the DU - Giant Tiger connection last week. GT also has a decent selection of non DU camo gear. I picked up a hooded fleece for under $20 and a camo t for under $10. If you're looking for basic camo gear you might be pleasantly surprised by what GT has, I know I was.

Alright I'll chime in here. First and the last time at Al's Corner Store, guys working the top floor are a bunch of pompous arseholes who's arrogance is beyond me.

I had money to spend but they were more interested in trying to give a greasy sales pitch on anything they could put in front of me.

The so called huge tent sale was a joke and likely a waste of time for the reps that had spent their time there.

I did end up buying a few things to help justify the drive, but it is my last.

Of course who need's money from a redneck like me.

Oh and if the tent was twice the size of last year, last years must have been a four man.
