The trend continues. Friends from work went to a local lake they have been driving to and fishing for walleyes for decades only to find newly minted MNR signs indicating no motorized vehicle access. Some investigation revealed that several local lakes some of which are very popular just got this restriction in place. This all happened without any consultation of the various land users. Unbelievable! I think there is going to be a fight now. Some locals have been charged. Moser Lk. Mercutio Lk and others are effected. I'll be gathering more information on this. I find this type of restriction is getting out of hand in recent years. Funny, the same outfitter, Bud Dickson who illegally introduced bass to many area lakes and water ways is the same moron who is behind the restrictions to many of the remaining walleye lakes. All this on top of the proposal to create another park in the White Otter lake area. I guess we don't have einough parks, Quetico isn't big enough? |

So you have no idea why the restrictions are in place??? Thats weird. Isn't that in the general area of the propected gold mine, Atikokan area? Sounds like an issue for the OFFAH to get involved with. |

the ofah knows all about this already .. if it is in the souix look out area good luck as the director of zone e hunts there and years ago he was talking about it that only outfitters could use the lake and have a 1 mile perimiter around lake .. as he hunts with his buddies and thinks its a good idea as it would force people to use the services of the outfitters... now unless they have changed his mind he though it was a great idea... |

Sad when money talks. I understand when outfitters have certain areas that other outfitters can't gain access to. But when the public is kept out of these area there is something wrong!
