Good luck to you on your first hunt. It not as easy as you may think it is but once you shoot your first turkey you'll be hooked. Just been phoning some landowners up home and renewing permission with them along with getting some more. :D

Good luck Dufus...you're going to love it. If you have some time before the season starts it will be very helpful to check back on that roost area before the opener. Things can change a lot between now and then. Either way, you're going to have a blast.

Good luck! You are going to be amazed at how totally fun chasing gobblers is. It is so addictive. I harvested my first bird just a few short years ago and I am really into the turkey hunting thing now......lol. Like Paul said, keep checking on the birds if you can to have patterned till the last minute! Can't wait to hear the story on your first bird! :readytorock:

Right on Scott. If you like maybe we can hook up some day. We hunt some property near Norland. My dad has been seeing quite few birds there. We are also trying to get Jay out for his first hunt.

Alf: where do you hunt at Norland, I hunt just southwest of there. Can be difficult to find permission around there. But there seem to be more and more birds every year.

We hunt mainly the baseline road area, and some areas south of Kinmount. My dad works for Wessels, they have alot of property with alot of birds. Hopefully in the near future area 56 will open, this will give us more ground including my dads place, lots of turkeys there but we can't hunt them, until we step across the HWY to area 60 then we call as loud as we can, lol. Getting permission in that area is starting to become harder to find.

ALF: Lots of birds along the Baseline rd. and around the Kinmount area. I know the Wessels also as my aunt is the weight scale operater at the main pit in Norland.
