Can anyone else wait any longer?

Well it's right around the corner now just can't wait much longer. Every morning the gobblers are gobbling at work and walking through the fields. Just teasing me, what they don't know is that I have the go head to hunt them with the bow once it's legal. Got at lease four different birds moving through here each day. Seen one here earlier today nice Tom with an 8" beard or maybe a bit better. Going to save this place for the days that I'm working and head up to my parents for the opening day. Got lots of birds up there running around. It's shaping up to be a great season again this year, going to take my buddies father out at some point this year and my brother in-law to try an get there first birds ever. Have also been trying to get my Dad to head out with us at some point as he took the course three years ago an has never been out hunting them yet. He sees them every day at his farm, an doesn't think it would be very challgening to get a bird. Might have to try and get him out there this year also.

The weather is surpose to turn to rain on Monday and Tuesday. haven't heard the weather for the opener. Anybody else have?

i only wish i was going to be out opening day, i have to wait till the weekend. I went and chatted with the landowner again this morning and all is well. No one else has been given permission on the property so the birds won;t be spooked by Saturday.
Last 2 opening days has been windy and a bit of snow so expect anything for weather.

I'm ready for Wednesday morning. All I need to do now is go to the range and shoot a few newly Blazer fletched arrows tipped with the 100 grn Spitfires into the broadhead sandbox so I'll get that done on Monday.

Heading up to our hunting area today and tomorrow to have a look around and see what the birds are up to. Going to try and roost a couple tomorrow night for the opening morning. Might have a look around and see if I can pick up anymore permission also, one can never have to much.

Went up yesterday to have a look around, in about an hour seen 4 long beards and 5 hens. also seen a black bear heading on the run back in to some hardwoods. Headed up again today to watch them some more so I've got idea as to where to start. Also loss another 200 acres as it was sold this was the peice of land that we were going to start on tomorrow morning as the birds are roosting on the North end of it. Just have to look in another direction. Hopefully I be able to get some pics today.
