Well slept in abit today but still managed to make it to a different spot I wanted to try this morning. Got to the edge of the bush just as they started to sound off so that was good because I did'nt have a clue where to set up as I did'nt scout this spot out. Got in the bush about 50 yrd's and set up putting my hen deke out about 20 yrd's and waited 15 min's before making any call's and then 5 min's later they were on the ground. Cut and purred to bring the 2 birds in which turned out to be jake's with 1 coming into the deke in full strut and watched him for about 2 min's and said screw it and let him have it.
14 to 15 lbs (never weighed him)
2/8 spur's
4 3/4 inch beard
After all this I ended up hooking up with a bud and took him into another spot of mine and called in a jake with a hen then a tom with a hen but he could'nt get a clear shot.
Try again tomorrow to call a bird in for my dad. BLACK FLIE'S WERE OUT THIS MORNING AND I HATE BUGS!!
TAGGED OUT!

Right on, good fro you! :wOOT:
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

Way to go snortwheez, I hope you enjoy the picking and eating. Mine is already made it into a pot of soup. Funny thing, my girls says it tastes just like turkey, go figure!!
