I was only out for a couple of hours with my dad and my uncle. We had a couple gobbling but were staying out of sight. I unfortunately had to cut short my hunt and head home. I was'nt any more than 10 min. down the HWY when my dad called saying he got him. Wow was he excited, he has taken many big game and guided for deer and bear for years and he told me on the phone he could not stop shaking from be so excited. Now he probably won't stay out of bush til he gets his second bird. He later called me back saying the bird weighed 20lbs, 9 1\2 " beard with 7/8" spurs and he asked me if I could mount it for him? Not a problem.
So I'll be back out monday morning before I head into work to try out a closer to home spot where a friend has allready tagged out with his 12 year old son taking his first bird. The birds have not all left their flocks yet. He told me after his son shot his bird, they drove by another spot where they figured they seen between 50 -60 birds.
Guess where I'll be. (;

Ya, congrats to the old boy!!!!
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority,and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

If you had stayed just a little longer you would have shared his enjoyment right there with him!
