Absolutely look to different times of day in different areas. What I am starting to think is that turkeys follow a relatively predictable routine. They will often repeat the same general movement patterns each day in the same relative conditions. If you have not been having luck in the morning and our confined to a small woodlot or acreage by all means hunt all day or try different times. You answered your own question. Good luck! :readytorock:

I would try it various times of the day aswell. Also something to think about would be a run and gun approach. By this I mean walk to your spot and try calling. If nothing responds, walk another 100 yards and try calling again. Repeat until you have gone over your property. You would be surprised how by walking 100 yards from one spot to the next you can go from no gobbles to all kinds of gobbles. It's happened to me lots.

yup all those guys are right. it can get boring but if you wait them out it sounds like they are there every day. what rene said is absolutley correct. if these birds are not bothered they do the same thing pretty much every day. they definately have a routine. no doubt about it. they musn't be roosting on your property but are getting there hours after they fly down. those afternoon gobblers are easier to call in anyway. i've probably killed 80 percent of my birds after 8:00 and alot of them in the afternoon. GO GET'M AND GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!! :shoot: :shoot: :shoot:
