Well, i shot a Jake at 7:16 this morning. Birds sounded off like crazy at around 5:00 this morn. Birds were everywhere it was hard to decide on a setup. I found my usual spot and quickly soon after changed my mind when several gobblers sounded off behind me. My partner was setup in a clearing to my right, and i took up the hardwoods. Birds were responding to the crows and the bush was alive. I figured we had at least ten birds responding to the calls. We talked to these birds for almost 1 1/2hours.The birds were content with staying put until i brought out the bigbox call, soon after the gun was up , and i was looking for white.red/blue heads. My partner remained on the calls as birds were closing the gap. I had a horny gobbler to my left that i was working and several birds interupted the party and were gobbling like crazy to my right. This turned out to be a group of 5 jakes. They approached from my right and were heading towards the gobbler to my left, big mistake. The lead Jake looked the biggest and as he approached my shooting lane it received a load of heavy-13 # 6. This bird dropped like a rock. It was paced off at 40 yards and through some thick stuff. bird was 14.5 lbs and had 2 beards (4 and 2 1/2 inches roughly). The birds were on fire this morn, and it was by far my most memorable hunt. Maybe someone can help me with posting the pics. Thanks for reading.

Congrats, glad to hear success stories!
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end
