Have been out a couple of time in the last week. The birds have just turned right off the calls. Was out yesterday morning seen some birds on the field next to where we hunt, called to them and they looked our way but would not respone. They continue on there way. Headed out again tomorrow to try again. Might also add that we have seen four different bears in the last two day of hunting, along with knowing where there are two other ones staying. Might just have to thin them out this Fall. MAtt |

I hunted for quite some time on Friday and Saturday, I had responses from gobblers on Friday, to no luck. On Saturday, nothing, it is as if all the birds in the area went south or something....They are just not responding to anything, I talked with two other hunters on Saturday and they said the same, turkeys are just not interested in responding to any type of calls. I really hope so Adrian. I was hoping to at least fill one tag by my birthday on Wednesday...looks like that's not going to happen. |

I figure that the last week of the season is going to be really good this year. All the hens should be setting by then and the toms should come to the call good at that point. Was out yeaterday and had a couple of birds gobbling but nothing would come to us starting to see hen off by themselves also. Just a matter of time now. Hoping to get out and try it again Saturday morning. Matt |
