First of all - Congrats to everyone - I haven't had much time on line lately, but now that I'm done trying to fill my tags I should become a regular once again.

After chasing birds with my old man for a week straight and passing up birds left and right hoping he would get his chance to stick one with an arrow - to no avail. He went home yesterday.

On my way home from work yesterday I drove past a farm just south of little britain, this is a farm that Bigr and I scored while he was down the first two days of the season. I have been watching this farm ever since and yesterday was the first day I seen any birds in it. One tom and 2 hens. I couldn't go in after them, because, I had to pick up my daughter from day care.

So this morningI left for work early, I pulled up in my car and waited for them to fly down. Within 2 minutes of waiting here they came. I put on the camo and hiked about 1 Km up the bush side of the fence line. Once I was within ear shot I started calling and the bird responded every time but kept getting farther up the fence line. I kept moving up through the wet cedars on my side of the fence traiding calls with him untill finally they stopped getting farther away. I sit my but down and start calling agressively and two hens come looking for a fight with my tom in tow. I waited untill he was about 20 yards and let him have it.

Beard = 9-7/8"
Spurs were matching 15/16" - just under an inch

Congrats, real nice bird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority,and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end
