I shot a Wisconsin bird that was 26 pounds about 10 years ago. I've shot many in the 20 to 22 pound range after that but can honestly say that is the only one out of 20 plus toms that went over 24 pounds.

My very first bird(2000) that i harvest was 25lbs 7 oz and didn't think i would get anything close to that again. But in 2006 I harvested a 26.5 lbs with 1 3/4 and 1 7/8 spurs with my shot gun (only because i missed him the year before with my bow, I think)
My best with a bow is 20 lbs 12 oz with matching 1 1/16 spurs and a 9 7/8 beard

My biggest Tom was a shade under 23 lbs and that bird came from Peterborough Cnty. I hunt and guide in Bruce and Grey counties as well. I find that Bruce cnty holds some monster Toms. Last year I guided a couple birds around 24 lbs.
I don't always chase tail, but when I do; its whitetail. Stay camo my friends.

I like bragging about mine too whenever I can. 24lbs. 2oz. beard 10 3/8 left spur 1 5/16 right spur 1 1/4. I was so happy I did the turkey strut out in the field while my husband laughed at me. Hope to get a bigger one this year but I will be happy even if I shoot a jake or two.

My biggest was just a shade under 20lbs in 2006 and my buddy shot one that went 22lbs even the same year. Both were shot in the City of Kawartha Lakes (Northern part).
