I went and bought a box of Winchester 12 gauge, 3", 2 oz, Number 5 shot for turkeys. Is this any good, what do you guys use? |
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

3" #6's in my super X2 with extra full turkey work great. Oh yeah, thats also using Winchester xtended. Expensive stuff though. Used supreme turkey loads last year, worked good, but these hit heavy, real heavy and pattern great in my gun.. Plan on using the bow though. |

I use nothing but the Winchester Supremes Double X 3" #6 (Red) or the Whichester High Velocity 3" #6 (Black)out of my Remington Wingmaster with Undertaker choke tube. Nice pattern out to 40 yards starts to fall apart after the 45 yard mark. What colour are the shells? Should work well for you depending on your gun and choke combo. Might have to try other loads also. Matt |
