so after the bad performance patterning hevi shot, I got some federal flight control. I also bought some kent diamond shot, but didnt shoot it today.

This is Federal flight control, 3 1/2" "6 shot, I wanted 5, but they didnt have it. Its from my tru glo gobble stopper choke from my 870.

I've read different things about how many pellets you want in the kill zone, from 5 to 15. This target says you want 5 in the kill zone, but other articles Ive read says 12, others say 15 in the kill zone. at 20 and 40 this patterns good I think, but at 50 yards, I think there were 7 or 8 pellets in the kill zone only. what are your thoughts on ho wmany are effective for a kill?

it all depends what part of the kill zone ,8 pellets in the neck ,or 3 in the head.the 3 will bring him down ,the 8 not as fast.you defenitly want to get as many in the head as possible.you first pattern was a good killing shot, what was the range on that one.

tom it also depeneds on the size of the pellets,l use 4 my self, you get less pellets, but you get the longer range and the pattern holds better.at lest that is what works foe me.

As many as possible would be better, only 1 pellet in the right spot should kill it.
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end
