Looking at the BPS flyer, I'm trying to decide on maybe picking up n new turkey gun for this spring. Have been leaning towards the Mossbergs but haven't ruled out the Stoegers P-350 yet. Just wondering what you guys think is the best the 12ga or 20ga. If I go with the 20 gauge it limits me down to only the Mossberg 500 Bantam. The gun is going to be used by myself and hopefully my wife next year. Not worried about the kick of the gun as my wife has shot 12 ga before. Not even looking at the Remingtons as I already have an 870 wingmaster that I currently use for turkeys. Really likethe thumbhole stocks and the steady grip stocks on the Stoegers. Anybody have or know anything about the Stoegers Matt |

Definately go with the 12 gauge! No question. This way it doubles as a turkey/duck/goose/whatever gun. I own a Mossberg 930 semi, advantage max4 HD.....works like a charm. A buddy of mine owns a Stoeger, they are excellent guns to. |

I'm also leaning towards the Stoeger 12ga. Then it can double as a field gun also. Anyone know how the shoot slugs? Might just have to also double as my back up deer gun. They look lie they are nice guns and it comes with the sterdy grip and the field stock also along with five choke tubes for it. Xfull is one of them but would most liely also pick up another turkey choke just to try. Going to head dow that way tomorrow to see how both of the guns handle most likely will be coming home with one or the other, also going to pick up a couple of more boxes of shells while I'm there. Going to stick to the Winchester Supremes, but might try #5's instead of #6's out of this gun. Matt |

A while ago Gagnon's in Oshawa was selling a 3 barrel combo with the Stoeger. I would call them and see if they still have some. It was an amazing deal. And I would also stick with the 12 guage. Not that the .20 won't do it but the .12 will give you more range and margin for error. If you are looking at adding a slug barrel later it will easier to do with a mossberg or remington than a Stoeger. |

Well was at BPS today and try out all of the mention guns and more. Mossberg 535: Didn't like the action as it felt like it was binding when cycled. Most likely because it was new but not sure. Stoeger P-350: Ruled out as soon as I tried to shoulder the gun as it never hit the sweet spot on my shoulder. Too much screwing around for my liking. Benelli Nova pump: Nice gun all around smooth action and fast, great price also. Mossberg Bantam(500) 20ga (adult): Great gun nice action, and light as can be Walked out of there with any of these for the simple reason that I had already found another gun that fit all puposes that I need. Yes, you guess it another Remington 870. This one is an 870 Synthetic Stock with three barrels. A 21" Cantilever slug barrel, 28" rib vent barrel with an modified choke (screw in) and an 23" turkey barrel with fiber optic sights an a turkey choke. Bet you never seen that coming CC, I know TerryM said I should stick to the 870 and Stick I did. Just have to wait for it to come in and I'll go an get it. But wait I never came home empty handed: My new addition ![]() Had to drop for the company's saw to see about getting fixed and ended up walking out with this saw for myself. Stihl MS 260 with case Does this thing ever like to cut had to just try it out when I got back to work. Bet no one saw that coming!! Matt |

Great choice, I thought for sure you'd come home with the Mossberg 930 or 935 |

So how much did the gun set-up run you and why the wait (none in stock)? I need to find a similar gun, deer, turkey. Was hoping for a 20 ga. though. |

None in stock is right. As for the price it was $599+tax. Matt |

A 20 gauge will kill any bird a 12 gauge will. Wait untill the bird gets to the proper shooting range or distance for the gun. Patience work along with a shooting range... |

If you get a 3" shot in 20 Ga how many less pellets then a 2.5" 12 Ga? I don't really care about range, I'm happy shooting 20-25 yards or so. I might just end up getting the Mossberg 500 20 Ga, 22" barrel that bass pro has for $350 on sale unless someone talks be out of it! |

Its a sweet little gun, should be real nice to carry. Just as long as you don't take shots that are better suited to a .12 guage. |
