I am just wondering what everyones thoughts are on when a turkey is Drummin!
Obviously this being my first year turkey hunting Im yet to experience "Drummin".
What can you tell me about it?I have had some people tell me but the more its talked about the better chance I have of understanding it,or is it something you just have to wait and experience it?

Same here, never heard a turkey do it, only grouse.
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

Turkey durmming is usally referred to when a Tom is struting and making a buzzing sound with his wing tips. I actually had the chance to heard this on more then one outing, this is another reason for the wing tips to be worn off.

I'm gonna pay more attention and try to listen more carefully for that this year.I think my husband and our hunting buddy have mentioned that they have heard this before. Learn something new every day. GREAT QUESTION

Oh yeah. I've heard gobblers spitting and drumming quite a few times now. It is awesome. They have to reasonably close to experience this. Hard to describe the sound.

it is a sound you will never forget and will send chills down your spine, when you hear that the bird is close.
Spittin and drummin is an awesome sound and one i hope to hear every year, but only heard it a few times during my hunts

So,If you hear this spittin and drummin its safe to say that the bird is very close and not make a move until you are able to get a shot.Im not wishing my time away but is it soon going to be April 25th.
