Going into the turkey woods in the morning,do you use a flashlight or try to make your way in the dark?Do you think it will affect your hunt? Will the turkeys see this light while in the roost?Any thoughts?

I hope not cause I plan on using one.
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

In my experiance you can never be stealthy enough - take every precaution possable to up your odds. I do use a flashlight when required full moon clear sky you wont need one. I have one of those headlamps that you can go from white LED to red LED with the click of a button. I have had good succes in sneaking up under the roost to within 40 yards a few times, using the red LED and keepng it pointed straight down so as to minimize the broadcasting of light.

You are best o avoid the flashlights when in view of a roosting tree/area. I think you'lll find they fly directly away from you at sun up.

if it ain't natural and they can see it or hear it, you just made you morning a lot tougher.

They don't fly down until you can see to move generally. Better to wait a bit and make a move as light begins to increase instead of shining and busting your way into a spot. Slow and stealthy.

Better yet know where they are roosted and take it all out of the equation....

Same here, we'll be on a hardwood hill about 100 - 150 yards from where they roost, just off an ATV trail.
