WOW congrats to everyone who took a bird the first morning. For those of you who didn't, congrats on getting your bird tomorrow.

I notice the opening day of deer season never has a success rate like this. Do you think there are more birds, they are easier to hunt or hunters are less picky about the size of bird they will shoot?

I think we over do it for deer. I had five deer walk outo withing 30 yards of my set up. They did not seem alarmed. I was on the ground, of course, and i could of took either one. There was no antlers though.

I think turkies are easier to hunt than deer and most will shoot a jake or a Tom as well. Opening day is a great time to nail a bird that has been patterned. If you can determine roost locations and set up accordingly you have good odds of success. Congrats to everyone!
