Well two mornings in a row have surprised. Me Yesterday, after coming real close to gettting my buddy his first bird we decided to jump ahead of some birds that had already gone by us and set up. I look over and a guy is walking around, bright green coat on, blue jeans and carrying a 12guage. I walked over to him and had a chat. He was one of the adjoining property owners, it was where all the properties come together. Not a bad guy really, so had a chat and he left, about 10 min later, boom!! not sure if he was just farting around or actually shot a bird. We left. Go back there this morning, and bam, a truck is already there with guys getting there gear out . I asked who's land they planned on hunting and they gave the right name, said they got permission. I recognized the truck from the firt shotgun hunt which they do on that property. We all agreed that we would split the area so it wasn't a waste. I knew where the birds were roosting and they wanted to hunt another area so fine by me. So, as we are getting ready to head in one of them says, "our buddy was in hear all last evening running them around good"!!!!!???? I couldn't believe it, more guys have permission i said. yeah, all the guys in our group that shotgun the property. I was shocked. Anyway, birds needless to say were not roosting where they were the mornging before, we never even heard one fly down. No gobbles, wouldn't gobble to any calls. Didn't hear the others shoot and in fact within an hour they left. We came close stalking a few others on some other property, my buddy needed abut 5 more feet for a real nice big strutter but a hen pecked at my decoy then walked off, taking the tom and two jakes with her. Fun morning, but my hunting area is becoming quite poor. |

It's early in the season. Things may well calm down after awhile and the turks may start getting into a patternable routine. Good luck! |

Yeah wait these guys out. Doesn't sound like they know what they are doing! Unfortunately it will make it much harder for you. |

Give them time and they will get bored of not hearing any birds and they will leave the area. AN you'll have your hunting land back. Matt |
