But am I ever having fun.
I missed Fri and Sat. due to work. So I thought I would head out with the bow today. My dad went along to do the calling. Setting up the blind we watched 2 deer, while listening to a gobble in the distance. 10 min. later at the bottom half of the field were 3 hens. As they made there way out of the small pines out behind them came the big tom. Full strut and gobbling away. Took them 1 hour to reach us but the closest he would come was about 50 yards. He was too interested in the hens he was already following. Later on we drove over to another spot and sure enough we heard another gobble. I along with my dad set up on one side of a 4 acre bush in the middle of the field and my uncle on the other side. He made his way to my uncle within 20 yards and he missed, :( We had some laughs and headed out. Just glad we were able to see them. :D

Keep at 'er!
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end

That makes two of us. Where I sat Friday I didn't hear any gobbling however shots rang off in the far distance from me and where my husband sat he was calling in a gobbler that seemed to be answering him but it took cover because some hunter was walking around that wasn't suppose to be there :( Saturday was really windy couldn't here anything. Buck'n'Rut seen a hen :D Our other hunting buddy missed a huge Tom on Sunday with his crossbow he's been feeling  ever since. It's raining today but we hope to get out later this afternoon regardless. It's not over yet. :shoot:

The experience hunting from the same blind as my father made me feel like a kid again. The last time we actually did that was way back before I had my license to even hunt.
I had to laugh to myself when the tom was working his way to us, my dad was whispering things like get your bow ready, don't move, your making to much noise, are you ready? Keep your bow up.
I strongly reccommend anyone to pair up, it will be a great time. :D
