Well was sent home from work this morning on account of the rain....so hit my turkey spot on the way home and sat all morning from 7:30-8:00...till about 20 to 2...packed it in...as i was driving out i notice 2 tom's walking threw the field heading for the east property line....couple hundred yard's.....i brake the truck just as i'm coming out into the feild they are in...old un farmed fields so the ceder's are growing out into it...these bird's see me .....so made a quick decision and through the truck in reverse and backed back in where they could not see me any more and quickly get out get the sock off the shotty and get the shell's in quietly....then head down along the edge of the field under the concealment...(is that a word??)...at this point i'm not even sure that i did not spook them with the truck.....after a about a 100yds or so i start to head out to the thinner stuff to see if i can see them ....bingo...i spot one it is about 40-50yds out ...i step back in and skirt around a big clump of ceder's....then belly crawl the last few yard's....then get up on one knee..approx 30yds..he catch's my movement and stretches his neck out for a look....only thing blocking my view now is a big brushy branch on a spruce....shoulder the gun and start to rise up until that sweet spot is in view and let him have it.....BIRD DOWN.... woohoo .....here are some pic's..and stat's

18.5 #

7/8 and 3/4 spur's

10 1/4" beard ...if its only one ...not sure...if it's 2 the other is 10 1/8...

Another dandy bird!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical, liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a bowel movement by the clean end
