Well I haven't had the chance to get out yet because of work and being away last week and had decided to do a hunt in the morning but with the weather station caling for 25 kmh winds, 100% chance of rain and Thunder I decided... Naaahhh. The season's long enough lol)))

i stayed home as well this weekend for the same reason, something about carrying a lightning rod and sitting under a tree just sounds wrong unless your the guy holding the camera.

In the rain the birds will most likey be in the open area's, they loose their hearing in the bush so they have to rely on their sight.

get out there and shoot one Brent, makes for good table fare

Great Newfie Hunter

I worked afternoons yesturday and got home at 3am this morning.Stayed up and went for a rather foggy turkey hunt this morning.I was setup on what I think was 2 Jakes(Killed the first one on opening day)when I notice they were running for thier lives as I thought they may have spotted me but with my Binos I could actually see Mr.Coyote sneaking up on them from a distance and they must have seen him, that ended the hunt.I may try in the morning with the crossbow if weather permits.

I'm not hunting.I'm letting a new hunter have a chance at a bird.I have to many things to do,that can't wait.Yesterday I watched two jakes come out around 8:30,and spent around 30 minutes in the field, than around 9:30 another Tom came out and went behind the hill.I looked out again at 10:30 and their were three males in the field.I'm not sure if they the same ones from earlier. My buddy better bring his girl over soon before they take off.Brent j..

No point going out in that weather, Terry.

Like you said, the season is long enough.
